For first time users of wrinkle creams, you may not know what to expect from using such creams. Some people fall victim to the outrageous claims of creams and end up buying the ones that have the most appealing claims. Unfortunately, these often do not live up to expectations causing a lot of people to be disappointed with them.
The most common claim that wrinkle creams make that they cannot live up to is the amount of time that they take to produce results. A lot of creams would claim to provide results in a matter of days, with some even claiming to give instant results. Some of these may be true but they will only work temporarily which means you will be dependent on these creams everyday to hide your wrinkles.
Before you start expecting magical things from your wrinkle cream, you should know that wrinkle creams will not provide instant effects. It will take time for this to happen, and it would usually take a few months before you will get the maximal effects of the cream.
The earliest effect that you should see from using is the moisturization of your skin. After a few days of use, your skin should be smoother and softer to touch. This is because the skin is able to retain water thus making your cells suppler and eliminating any rough patches.
Aside from moisturizing the skin, a lot of creams also help improve cell regeneration. It does this either by providing the skin with nutrients, or stimulating the body to produce newer and younger cells. This is important in getting rid of blemishes and other imperfections on the skin.
The last thing that you should expect is its wrinkle reduction effect. For the first few weeks, you should not expect wrinkles to disappear as it will take time for this effect to occur. The skin will first have to increase its elasticity by making more of the needed proteins as stimulated by the cream. These proteins will then have to be incorporated into the skin before it can become firmer and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Aside from these, you should not expect more from your wrinkle cream as some of them claim to do. There may be some exceptions that can give very quick results but these are just a few and will not give you the long term anti-aging effects. Most of these won't be able to improve the complexion of the skin as well.
If you do not want to be fooled by the claims of wrinkle creams, you should do your research beforehand and know which creams are effective and what to realistically expect from them. This way, you don't end up expecting your skin to look 20 years younger when a lot of creams will not be able to do this.
